Information for Facilitators
Overview:
This professional development WebQuest was designed for use during the eMINTS
professional development session "Planning a Classroom Website." It should
be used in conjunction with the module. This WebQuest assists teachers in
thinking about how the content of their future classroom website will support
teacher-facilitated, student-centered, inquiry-based learning. At the end
of this WebQuest, teachers will combine the knowledge gained through this
WebQuest with information presented in the module to create a storyboard for a
high-quality classroom website.
Suggested time: Total time: 1 hour
and 15 minutes Introduction of WebQuest
and team formation - 5 minutes
Exploration of websites and completion of research organizer - 25 minutes
Sharing with home teams - 15 minutes
Creating "Top Ten List" - 15 minutes
Sharing of "Top Ten Lists" - 15 minutes

Teachers use technology to enhance their productivity and professional
practice.
Teachers:
- use technology resources to
engage in ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
- continually evaluate and
reflect on professional practice to make informed decisions regarding the use
of technology in support of student learning.
